BEWARE OF FALSE KNOWLEDGE — KJV (King James Version) Bible Verse List

King James Version Bible verse list compiled by Bill Kochman concerning the topic “Beware of False Knowledge”. Visit my page at https://www.billkochman.com/VerseLists/ to see all the lists I’ve compiled to date. Thanks!

“For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.”
Jeremiah 4:22, KJV

“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:”
1 Timothy 6:20, KJV

“This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.”
James 3:15, KJV

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Isaiah 5:20, KJV

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
2 Timothy 3:13, KJV

Please note that in 1 Timothy 6:20 above, the word “science” is derived from the Koine Greek word “gnosis”. This word is normally translated as “knowledge” in the New Testament of the King James version of the Bible. This is the only verse where it is actually translated as “science”, and I am not sure why the translator made this choice.
