SHORT-CHANGED

by Bill Kochman

01-02-2017

I don’t care how hard you try,
It is just never going to work,
All those good things that you do,
Won’t earn you any heavenly perk.

I am really not out to upset you,
Or to make you become deranged,
But your “good works” won’t do it,
You’ll find yourself short-changed.

It is only the price paid by Jesus,
That is enough to meet God’s bill,
So please accept His loving ransom,
And one day you’ll live on Holy Hill.
