WITTY BUT WHAT A PITY<\/p>\n

He thought that he was so witty,
\nHe did not believe in the Lord,
\nSo whenever there was a debate,
\nHe’d always have the last word.<\/p>\n

He was quite eloquent in speech,
\nLeaving folks in an utter daze,
\nBut his wife was a firm Believer,
\nWho prayed for that man for days.<\/p>\n

Alas that fool remained hardened,
\nLeading astray not merely a few,
\nLocal Christians were befuddled,
\nThey didn’t know just what to do.<\/p>\n

One day that man suddenly died,
\nIt surprised so many all around,
\nThe big question on their minds,
\nWas if he was now Heaven bound.<\/p>\n

Well tho he didn’t understand it,
\nHe stood before the mighty Throne,
\nNot a single word left his lips,
\nHis body trembled in every bone.<\/p>\n

Judgment was passed in a moment,
\nHis own words told his sad tale,
\nThat soul didn’t belong in Heaven
\nHis arguments were to no avail.<\/p>\n

Shocked beyond belief he shouted,
\nBut it was all just a silly game,
\nGod then looked at him and said,
\nYou never accepted my Son’s name.<\/p>\n

And not only did you reject Him,
\nYou caused others His name to deny,
\nSo stop with your witty excuses,
