\nYou don’t need any God in your life,
\nYou’ve got a nice job, home and car,
\nPlus there are kids and a pretty wife.<\/p>\n
\nThey think you are so really cool,
\nYou hang out together on weekends,
\nDrinking beer by your swimming pool.<\/p>\n
\nYou will even splurge now and then,
\nBut clearly something is missing,
\nYou need to think this over again.<\/p>\n
\nYou worked hard to get to the top,
\nBut someday you will be surprised,
\nWhen your ticker comes to a stop.<\/p>\n
\nYou will then stand before the Lord,
\nHe will look in His book of records,
\nAnd know that Him you have ignored.<\/p>\n
\nNot your wife, or even one single kid,
\nJust you alone under God’s spotlight,
\nAs He takes account of all you did.<\/p>\n
\nYou were a good husband, father too,
\nYou worked so honestly at your job,
\nAnd poor folks you even helped a few.<\/p>\n
\nWhich all your deeds just cannot buy,
\nYou see, that is exactly the reason,
\nWhy for you I willingly chose to die.<\/p>\n
\nWorldly things deceived your heart,
\nSo as truly tragic as it may now be,
