Some people have been given over to reprobate minds because they reject, and do not obey, the Word of the Lord and the Laws of God, as in these verses:<\/p>\n
“And\u202d even as\u202d they did\u202d\u202d not\u202d like\u202d\u202d to retain\u202d\u202d God\u202d in\u202d \u202dtheir\u202d knowledge\u202d, God\u202d gave\u202d\u202d them\u202d over\u202d\u202d to\u202d a \u202dreprobate\u202d\u202d mind\u202d, to do\u202d\u202d those things which are\u202d\u202d not\u202d convenient\u202d\u202d;\u202d” “Now\u202d as\u202d Jannes\u202d and\u202d Jambres\u202d withstood\u202d\u202d Moses\u202d, so\u202d do\u202d\u202d these\u202d also\u202d resist\u202d\u202d the truth\u202d: men\u202d of corrupt\u202d\u202d minds\u202d, \u202dreprobate\u202d\u202d concerning\u202d the faith\u202d.\u202d” “They profess\u202d\u202d that they know\u202d\u202d God\u202d; but\u202d in works\u202d they deny\u202d\u202d \u202dhim\u202d, being\u202d\u202d abominable\u202d, and\u202d disobedient\u202d, and\u202d unto\u202d every\u202d good\u202d work\u202d \u202dreprobate\u202d\u202d.” “The bellows\u202d are burned\u202d\u202d, the lead\u202d is consumed\u202d\u202d of the fire\u202d\u202d; the founder\u202d\u202d melteth\u202d\u202d in vain\u202d: for the wicked\u202d are not plucked away\u202d\u202d. \u202dReprobate\u202d\u202d\u202d silver\u202d shall \u202dmen\u202d call\u202d\u202d them, because the LORD\u202d hath rejected\u202d\u202d them.” In contrast, we are supposed to be renewed in our minds, and we are to put on the mind of Christ, which simply means humbly submitting ourselves to God\u2019s Will as Christ did:<\/p>\n “I beseech\u202d\u202d you\u202d therefore\u202d, brethren\u202d, by\u202d the mercies\u202d of God\u202d, that ye present\u202d\u202d your\u202d bodies\u202d a living\u202d\u202d sacrifice\u202d, holy\u202d, acceptable\u202d unto God\u202d, \u202dwhich is\u202d your\u202d reasonable\u202d service\u202d. And\u202d be\u202d\u202d not\u202d conformed\u202d\u202d to this\u202d world\u202d: but\u202d be ye transformed\u202d\u202d by the renewing\u202d of your\u202d mind\u202d, that\u202d ye\u202d may prove\u202d\u202d what\u202d \u202dis\u202d that good\u202d, and\u202d acceptable\u202d, and\u202d perfect\u202d, will\u202d of God\u202d.\u202d” “For\u202d who\u202d hath known\u202d\u202d the mind\u202d of the Lord\u202d, that\u202d he may instruct\u202d\u202d him\u202d?
