LEGALIST’S LOAD <\/p>\n

You carry around such a load,
\nNo doubt it is so very hard,
\nBut I really have to wonder,
\nIf you’ll make it another yard.<\/p>\n

Oh how indeed you do struggle,
\nJust to keep every law of God,
\nI see all your tired footsteps,
\nIn the places where you’ve trod.<\/p>\n

Yes, trying with all you’ve got,
\nTo be found worthy in His sight,
\nWhile you simply fail to grasp,
\nYour works won’t make you right.<\/p>\n

It’s only through faith in Jesus,
\nThat righteousness we can gain,
\nYour labor is a futile endeavor,
\nIt is time to forsake your pain.<\/p>\n

You simply need to be honest,
\nAdmit you cannot keep them all,
\nWith so many commandments,
\nIt is a mountain just too tall.<\/p>\n

So now place your trust in Jesus,
\nLet Him give you His blessed rest,
\nHe bore the weight of sin for you,
\nAnd thus passed His Father’s test.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
