SAMSON AND DELILAH<\/p>\n

Delilah that devilish dame,
\nDid a very dastardly deed,
\nShe cut off Samson’s hair,
\nFor money she had agreed.<\/p>\n

Then when Samson awoke,
\nOn him Philistines did fall,
\nAlas, to his great surprise,
\nHe had no strength at all.<\/p>\n

Then blinded by those men,
\nHe was put in chains of brass,
\nAll for the love of that woman.
\nOh what a very terrible lass!<\/p>\n

Then they took out his eyes,
\nAnd to prison him they did take,
\nMighty Samson was humbled,
\nHe had made a grave mistake.<\/p>\n

But as Samson did there grind,
\nHis seven locks began to grow,
\nNow perhaps he kept it a secret,
\nFor nobody appeared to know.<\/p>\n

Well, at last a great day arrived,
\nWhen Dagan was to be praised,
\nPhilistines filled up that house,
\nUpon Samson they all gazed.<\/p>\n

Then he cried out to the Lord,
\nGive me strength once again.
\nHe grabbed the mighty pillars,
\nYou know what happened then.<\/p>\n

Down came that great temple,
\nAnd thousands died that day,
\nThus Samson avenged himself,
\nWhen they took his eyes away.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
