\nHe will accept you just as you are,
\nBetter than that one in the Bible,
\nOh, He is more loving, yes by far.<\/p>\n
\nModern Jesus seems to be okay,
\nNo, He won’t judge you harshly,
\nIn fact, He will look the other way.<\/p>\n
\nUnlike that old one from long ago,
\nHe sees the times have changed,
\nAnd all those old rules have to go.<\/p>\n
\nThat I can live and do as I please,
\nAnd my Jesus will understand it,
\nI can simply live my faith with ease.<\/p>\n
\nIn whom you’ve foolishly believed,
\nIf you think God accepts your sins,
\nWell, you have truly been deceived.<\/p>\n
\nIs the same yesterday today forever,
\nThough you’ve invented a new one,
\nMy friend you’re really not so clever.<\/p>\n
\nFor another Jesus to watch out,
\nYet sadly in these modern times,
\nThat’s what our faith is all about.<\/p>\n
\nSome have twisted things around,
\nIn so many of our church pulpits,
\nThey teach doctrines so unsound.<\/p>\n
\nAnd the bitter they put for sweet,
\nBut unless they will soon repent,
\nSomeday they will feel God’s heat.<\/p>\n
\nHe is Satan’s usurper in disguise,
\nReturn to the Jesus of the Bible,
