\nThey want to raise the retirement age,
\nThe government is up to more antics,
\nSo with good reason it’s causing rage.<\/p>\n
\nPlease don’t dare to accept their spin,
\nBecause by pushing the age up to 70,
\nSo many fewer people will ever cash in.<\/p>\n
\nThus raising the age limit is fair to do,
\nBut I refuse to accept their deception,
\nAnd if you’re smart you won’t do it too.<\/p>\n
\nIs that many folks never see a dime,
\nIf you are wondering how this can be,
\nWell, they die before retirement time.<\/p>\n
\nHoping they’d hit the age of sixty-five,
\nBut never once did it occur to them,
\nThat they might not even still be alive.<\/p>\n
\nWhy raising the age is such a ruse?
\nEven fewer will ever see their check,
\nYet paying taxes we just can’t refuse.<\/p>\n
\nBelieving some day they’ll get it back,
\nBut those pols want to make it harder,
\nMaybe we should give them all flack.<\/p>\n
\nYet our gov sends billions to Ukraine,
\nWhy do they help so many foreigners,
\nWhile Americans feel financial pain?<\/p>\n
\nOne’s own family should come first,
\nSo stop financing those other nations,
\nAnd maybe the SS dam won’t burst.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
