Once there was this old woman,
\nWho enjoyed rising with the Sun,
\nFor to her this was to be normal,
\nShe wanted to be like everyone.<\/p>\n
But alas, her tired, aging body,
\nOften did not do as she planned,
\nSo while she wanted to be awake,
\nIt made a “more sleep” demand.<\/p>\n
Over and over that woman tried,
\nShe would do so good for a spell,
\nBut then she’d take a short nap,
\nAnd her plan would totally fail.<\/p>\n
Oh how frustated she then grew,
\nShe said it simply was not right,
\nThis daytime sleep was nonsense,
\nWhen she wanted to rest at night.<\/p>\n
Now this old lady had a dear son,
\nHe knew she viewed it as a crime,
\nBut he saw the issue another way,
\nHis mother was a prisoner of time.<\/p>\n
Thus, dear son set out to explain,
\nThat she did not need to conform,
\nRegardless of what the world does,
\nShe is free to make her own norm.<\/p>\n
Yes, just sleep whenever you will,
\nWho cares what others may think?
\nJust keep up with your frustation,
\nAnd into a depression you may sink.<\/p>\n
So now just relax and live each day,
\nWhether you see the Sun or Moon,
\nKnowing if you’ll accept this truth,
\nYou will sing a much happier tune.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
