This world is full of distractions,
\nFor every single Christian soul,
\nThat Devil wants to pull us apart,
\nWhile God wants to keep us whole.<\/p>\n

Even though we try to keep our eyes,
\nOn the heavenly vision that’s ahead,
\nSatan throws distractions our way,
\nYou know, he’d like to see us dead.<\/p>\n

It comes from an ancient Latin word,
\nWhich just means to be drawn apart,
\nWe try to go the direction God gave,
\nBut other thoughts enter our heart.<\/p>\n

A single eye is what Jesus advised,
\nNo, don’t be looking any other way,
\nFor if you do, you’ll get tripped off,
\nThen consequences you’ll surely pay.<\/p>\n

So strive to keep eyes on the Lord,
\nAnd before you He says He will go,
\nHe’s fully aware of Satan’s devices,
\nThis one thing you ought to know.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
