TIN SOLDIERS <\/p>\n

See little tin soldiers standing in a row,
\nCalled up for duty, and then off they go.
\nNo, don’t question, do as you are told,
\nJust accept the lies you have been sold.<\/p>\n

You’re required to blend in with the fold,
\nDon’t even try to break out of the mold.
\nTrained not to think, follow every order,
\nWhen the word is given, fire that mortar.<\/p>\n

Harden your heart, and resist the pain,
\nOtherwise, you will no doubt go insane.
\nTime to go home now, your job is done,
\nA lot of blood spilled, but a war was won.<\/p>\n

You are a big hero, they all now exclaim,
\nBut yet deep inside, you still feel blame.
\nYou remember many innocent lives lost,
\nAnd you question, was it worth the cost?<\/p>\n

So many wars have been based on a lie,
\nYet we never learn, and people still die.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
