Now if on the social networks,
\nYou so desire to make it big,
\nI have got advice how to be,
\nA giant tree & not just a twig.<\/p>\n
So in case you’re wondering,
\nAnd just do not have a clue,
\nThere’s really only one thing,
\nYou absolutely ought to do.<\/p>\n
No, posting with your might,
\nJust won’t take you very far,
\nMost people still won’t know,
\nWhere or even who you are.<\/p>\n
Now I will share the secret,
\nSo you can pass their test,
\nEven tho you may not like it,
\nAround bigwigs just coalesce.<\/p>\n
You see most networks work,
\nAround your desire to be seen,
\nThey’ll draw you in like moths,
\nYou understand what I mean?<\/p>\n
But unless you learn the ropes,
\nAnd comment on posts by elite,
\nAlthough you try so very hard,
\nAlas, you will still end in defeat.<\/p>\n
Networks are two-tier systems,
\nWhere paupers & princes roam,
\nBut if you don’t engage princes,
\nYou just gnaw a meatless bone.<\/p>\n
The elites get all the exposure,
\nOh, yes, they have lots of fun,
\nWhile peons fight for attention,
\nNo doubt you’re probably one.<\/p>\n
Now if you still doubt my word,
\nGo and comment to a prince,
\nSure, do it as often as you like,
\nAnd you I will surely convince.<\/p>\n
Folks will like your comments,
\nThey’ll even share one or two,
\nMeanwhile, on your timeline,
\nEngagements remain very few.<\/p>\n
Now do you finally understand,
\nWe are dressing on their cake,
\nFailure to hobnob with bigwigs,
