DEFENSE ATTORNEY<\/p>\n

How much do we believe in forgiveness,
\nIt is a question we each need to ask,
\nAren’t you tired of feeling condemned?
\nSo then bring that old Devil to task.<\/p>\n

We have all committed so many sins,
\nAnd done things of which we’re ashamed,
\nBut you see sly Satan knows this too,
\nThat’s how he tries to keep us framed.<\/p>\n

He’s just like a prosecuting attorney,
\nHe constantly throws things in our face,
\nSo he’ll lie and attempt to deceive us,
\nSaying in God’s Kingdom we have no place.<\/p>\n

All our sins are too great he will claim,
\nGod cannot forgive such an one as us,
\nDon’t you dare listen to all of his lies,
\nBecause he will throw you under the bus.<\/p>\n

Yes, it’s true we’ve all missed the mark,
\nBut God has certainly not left us alone,
\nThat is why He sent His only Son Jesus,
\nWho for our sins was willing to atone.<\/p>\n

Now in Heaven we have a Defense Attorney,
\nOur cause is pled before the great Judge,
\nSo when that serpent comes to hound you,
\nThere’s really no need for you to budge.<\/p>\n

Just hold on tight to our Savior Jesus,
\nClaiming God’s forgiveness thru the Lamb,
\nAnd should Satan try to ever condemn you,
\nWell, just tell that wicked liar to scram.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
