\nIs indeed a very impossible task,
\nSo how can one get to Heaven?
\nPerhaps some of you may ask.<\/p>\n
\nIs what Jesus at one time said,
\nLose your eye, cut off your hand,
\nMan, you might as well be dead!<\/p>\n
\nThe Lord certainly set it so high,
\nMaybe there\u2019s a hidden meaning,
\nWe need to ask ourselves why.<\/p>\n
\nHe wrote about the Mosaic Law,
\nIf you dare just break even one,
\nYou\u2019re guilty of breaking them all.<\/p>\n
\nWhy should we even try to start?
\nBut things aren\u2019t what they seem,
\nDear friend, so please take heart.<\/p>\n
\nIs that we can\u2019t be good enough,
\nYou can strive to keep the Laws,
\nAnd do other self-righteous stuff.<\/p>\n
\nGod\u2019s standard you will still fail,
\nYour good works just won\u2019t do it,
\nAnd you\u2019ll have your place in Hell.<\/p>\n
\nFor one very particular reason,
\nIt was to show us all of our sins,
\nAnd to bring us to a new season.<\/p>\n
\nWho without mercy, harsh can be,
\nThe Law is also a heavy burden,
\nFrom which Jesus can set us free.<\/p>\n
\nIn the works we each strive to do,
\nWe must look alone to the Cross,
\nTo be free from the legalistic stew.<\/p>\n
\nBy His blood our slate is so clean,
\nThe Lord did what we cannot do,
