Tho man or demon wage war against us,
\nTho hell endeavors to engulf us,
\nFight we must!<\/p>\n

Tho both kin and friends do desert us,
\nTho city fathers persecute us,
\nFight we must!<\/p>\n

Tho unbelievers rage and blame us,
\nTho liars try their best to frame us,
\nFight we must!<\/p>\n

Tho death conspires to defeat us,
\nTho doubts too often greet us,
