FIREWALKERS <\/p>\n

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,
\nWere servants of the Most High God,
\nThey observed Jewish kosher laws,
\nWhich their captors found quite odd.<\/p>\n

But so fair and wise were those boys,
\nThat they had favor before the king,
\nAnd though all went well for a spell,
\nThere arose a very serious thing.<\/p>\n

They dare not bow to the false gods,
\nWhich stirred up the king’s great ire,
\nThus even though he liked those lads,
\nHe yelled “Throw them into the fire!”<\/p>\n

Full of wrath the king then barked,
\n“Make it much hotter than before,
\nNow bind those boys and throw them in,
\nQuick! Push shut that furnace door!”<\/p>\n

Even though the men seemed so doomed,
\nGod had quite another plan.
\nFor when the king looked in the blaze,
\nThere stood one like the Son of Man!<\/p>\n

So because of their obedience,
\nNothing befell those three young men,
\nNo singed hair nor smell of smoke,
\nThey just came right back out again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
