God is not some kind of monster,
\nJust waiting to strike us down,
\nHe sees how folks describe Him,
\nAnd it really makes Him frown.<\/p>\n

Yes, He is indeed a good parent,
\nHe’ll chastise us if we are bad,
\nBut most of all He just loves us,
\nAnd wants to make our hearts glad.<\/p>\n

Some people just try to scare us,
\nThey only put fear in our hearts,
\nGod’s Word exposes this deception,
