AWAKENING<\/p>\n

Some people just won’t listen,
\nTo the message I share today,
\nSo deceived by their politics,
\nBut that will not save the day.<\/p>\n

They place their faith in a man,
\nBelieving it’s the right solution,
\nSuch thoughts are misguided,
\nThey will not bring resolution.<\/p>\n

All the problems in the nation,
\nCan’t be fixed by passing laws,
\nWe need to look much deeper,
\nThere is really a spiritual cause.<\/p>\n

We have turned away from God,
\nHis commandments cast aside,
\nWe chose our own foolish way,
\nThe Bible is no longer our guide.<\/p>\n

There’s so much sin & rebellion,
\nWe have defied God to His face,
\nIt should not come as a surprise,
\nIf we’re removed from our place.<\/p>\n

Changing leaders will not do it,
\nIf our hearts remain the same,
\nNational repentance is needed,
\nIf we wish to reignite the flame.<\/p>\n

But so much darkness abounds,
\nMany people resist God’s light,
\nThey revel in working their evil,
\nAnd they much prefer the night.<\/p>\n

Exactly what is it going to take,
\nTo bring people to their knees?
\nIt is my hope you understand,
