So I went food shopping the other day,
\nGot my stuff and then went up to pay.
\nAfterwards I thot my total seemed high,
\nBut I didn\u2019t even bother to ask \u2018em why.<\/p>\n
Now later in the day it bothered me still,
\nYet I did not look at that expensive bill.
\nThen during the night as I lay in my bed,
\nThoughts of that total yet filled my head.<\/p>\n
So I got out of bed and went to the trash,
\nTo find out what happened to my cash.
\nI got the receipt & examined each thing,
\nMan oh man, it just didn\u2019t make me sing!<\/p>\n
Hershey\u2019s kisses are my pleasure in life,
\nBut why so more expensive than a wife?
\nLet me tell you dude, it just really sucks,
\nIt was a two-pound bag for twenty bucks!<\/p>\n
When I saw it I nearly went thru the roof,
\nNow how can I satisfy my sweet tooth?
\nI don\u2019t shop often so well I bought three,
\nAs you can imagine, I am feeling misery.<\/p>\n
At this point I am not certain what to do,
\nAre my kisses eating days sadly through?
\nI deserve to have my one sweet pleasure,
\nEven if I truly spend beyond my measure. <\/p>\n
I am an old man, my days are soon done,
