I WILL NOT FEAR<\/p>\n

We find ourselves in a race,
\nTo see what kills us first,
\nWill it be climate change,
\nOr a powerful solar burst?<\/p>\n

So much disease, famine too,
\nMany millions die each year,
\nWe take unborn innocent lives,
\nBut few will even shed a tear.<\/p>\n

Maybe all the wars we fight,
\nWill erase humanity someday,
\nButton pushed, hope is lost,
\nEarth fades from blue to gray.<\/p>\n

Some claim our own machines,
\nWill result in man’s demise,
\nYet others point to a threat,
\nThat will come from the skies.<\/p>\n

Earthquakes too may do us in,
\nSeas rise beyond their shore,
\nA lot of ways for us to die,
\nNo doubt you’ll think of more.<\/p>\n

So many things for us to fear,
\nNo wonder people are on edge,
\nOne thing or perhaps another,
\nWill push us over the ledge.<\/p>\n

But as for me I will not fear,
\nFor God surely knows my fate,
\nThus I will live day by day,
\nTill I pass thru Heavenly Gate.<\/p>\n

His peace reigns in my heart,
\nI trust He knows what’s best,
\nBeing afraid is to no avail,
\nSo I won’t fear like the rest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
