GECKO GRIEF <\/p>\n

Oh there is just so much frustration,
\nWhen a gecko catches my kitty\u2019s eye,
\nShe wants to grab that lizard badly,
\nBut it\u2019s up on the ceiling so very high.<\/p>\n

Thus desperate she comes to tell me,
\nHoping that I am able to help her out,
\nBut, you see, I like those little lizards,
\nSo I refuse to participate in their rout.<\/p>\n

Yet after her much insistent pleading,
\nI will go to check out what is going on,
\nWhile my kitty prances around my feet,
\nNot knowing that I am playing the con.<\/p>\n

Of course there is no way I can tell her,
\nThat for dinner gecko won\u2019t be served,
\nCanned tuna and Iams need to suffice,
\nUntil my dear kitty\u2019s appetite is curved.<\/p>\n

So as I gaze at the creature up yonder,
\nI talk and point to it with great concern,
\nTo let kitty know I really do understand,
\nBut to see lizzy suffer I just don\u2019t yearn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
