The journey was long, I played my card,
\nI tried it my way, it was oh so hard.
\nTime after time, I made a big mess,
\nI had no peace, I only knew stress.<\/p>\n

I fell on my face, I laid in the dirt,
\nSomebody help me, take away my hurt.
\nI knew not then God had His eye on me,
\nHe saw me suffer, but said it had to be.<\/p>\n

My pride was so great, I did not know,
\nGod had to break me, and bring me low.
\nNow I’m so thankful, He gave me a shove,
