\nIs a tactic indeed so very old,
\nJeremiah was cast into a pit,
\nIn the Holy Bible we are told.<\/p>\n
\nFor exposing Herod the king,
\nHe married his brother\u2019s wife,
\nWhich was an unlawful thing.<\/p>\n
\nBy Jews who rejected truth,
\nFor whenever Jesus spoke,
\nThey went through the roof.<\/p>\n
\nPharisees still act the same,
\nThey warned all the Apostles,
\nDon\u2019t speak in Jesus\u2019 name!<\/p>\n
\nWas also sadly cut so short,
\nBy the sword Herod ordered,
\nJames\u2019 head he so did abort.<\/p>\n
\nTruth silencers were at work,
\nCrazy Nero killed Christians,
\nThe emperor was so berserk.<\/p>\n
\nMany brethren knew his hate,
\nWith the second persecution,
\nThey all met one terrible fate.<\/p>\n
\nThe Catholics came to power,
\nThus for many true Believers,
\nIt was indeed so dark an hour.<\/p>\n
\nBloody Mary vented her wrath,
\nTyndale and other Reformers,
\nWere victims of her bloodbath.<\/p>\n
\nOf how the truth is shot down,
\nBut as for all of those martyrs,
\nThey wear an eternal crown.<\/p>\n
\nIn China, Arab nations & more,
\nGod\u2019s voice they try to silence,
\nSlamming shut the Gospel door.<\/p>\n
\nThe silencers lurk everywhere,
\nJust dare challenge their lies,
\nAnd oh, you had better beware!<\/p>\n
\nAll parts of their chest of tools,
\nBut God keeps a careful record,
\nSomeday He\u2019ll repay the fools.<\/p>\n
\nDon\u2019t be afraid, lift your sword,
\nFor one day if you stay faithful,
