THE DAY GOD’S WRATH FELL <\/p>\n

Surely we cannot say that we didn’t know,
\nHis messengers many warnings had given,
\nBut we were so drunk on that wicked spirit,
\nAnd so to greater sin we were simply driven.<\/p>\n

Across the country like a rampant disease,
\nOur foolish rebellion just so rapidly spread,
\nOh how we danced so wildly in city streets,
\nNot once did we really stop to think ahead.<\/p>\n

But then the sands of time suddenly ran out,
\nAnd a wrathful God said we had gone too far,
\nSo just like that His judgments began to fall,
\nAnd now in tribulation is where we sadly are.<\/p>\n

The sound of mirth is now quiet everywhere,
\nAnd only weeping and terrible sadness reign,
\nWhile even tho we try to console each other,
\nThere’s just no ridding ourselves of this pain.<\/p>\n

Rebellious children stricken by an angry God,
\nEven our desperate prayers He will not hear,
\nBut now we understand that it’s our own fault,
\nBecause we did not give His prophets an ear.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
