Now there exists an old saying,
\nA man convinced against his will,
\nAlthough you tell him the facts,
\nWill keep his same opinion still.<\/p>\n

Yes, while you share evidence,
\nAnd despite his being so wrong,
\nHe will simply ignore your words,
\nAnd keep singing that old song.<\/p>\n

So many folks are just like this,
\nStubbornly clinging to a belief,
\nTho you speak the truth to them,
\nThey will not accept your relief.<\/p>\n

Preferring to believe in some lie,
\nThey\u2019ll fight you to the very end,
\nIt is honestly just a losing battle,
\nSo why should we even pretend?<\/p>\n

But the greatest tragedy of it all,
\nIs when faith comes to the fore,
\nJesus is knocking at their heart,
\nBut they refuse to open the door.<\/p>\n

Oh, indeed what a sad situation,
\nIf stubbornness gains its power,
\nAnd such a person remains lost,
