If there is one thing you need to know,
\nIt is that law is law and grace is grace,
\nYet it is so extremely sad to see now,
\nHow in our day things are out of place.<\/p>\n
Just like those Jewish legalists of old,
\nWho kept people under a heavy yoke,
\nSome Christians just don’t understand,
\nWhat Jesus & the Apostles truly spoke.<\/p>\n
Oh, how they love to wield God’s Word,
\nAs though it is just a terrible cutting axe,
\nAttacking you if you disagree with them,
\nWhile they ignore some Scriptural facts.<\/p>\n
Now if we’re truly saved by God’s grace,
\nAnd not by the works of the Mosaic Law,
\nThen surely it would seem quite evident,
\nIn their theology there is a serious flaw.<\/p>\n
Yes, we remain bound by the moral laws,
\nSummed up in the commandment of love,
\nBut regarding all of that ceremonial stuff,
\nHow the legalists all try to push & shove.<\/p>\n
Either Christ’s blood is sufficient enough,
\nTo fully pay for the gift of one’s Salvation,
\nOr we are stuck with obeying the full law,
\nWhich leaves us an impossible situation.<\/p>\n
For as the old Apostle James once wrote,
\nBreaking one law is just like breaking all,
\nMeaning we would be guilty before God,
\nAnd eternal death would be our final call.<\/p>\n
Thus in the law don’t dare put your trust,
\nPlace your faith in Jesus Christ instead,
\nFor He will surely raise you to eternal life,
\nEven tho you have lain in the grave dead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
