MIGHTY ROME <\/p>\n

Oh how mighty was that Rome,
\nHer empire across the world,
\nPeople feared and trembled,
\nWherever her flag unfurled.<\/p>\n

With sharp teeth like a lion,
\nShe devoured her every foe,
\nTho armies fought against her,
\nShe always dealt a deadly blow.<\/p>\n

No one could seem to stop her,
\nBut many nevertheless tried,
\nTheir soldiers fought bravely,
\nOn the battlefield they died.<\/p>\n

But moral decay soon set in,
\nFor power corrupts the mind,
\nThus many citizens of Rome,
\nBecame both haughty and blind.<\/p>\n

Many gods they all worshiped,
\nSome were animals, others men,
\nHedonism was quite rampant,
\nIt was a city so full of sin.<\/p>\n

The war expense was great,
\nSo inflation began to rise,
\nHer senators became vultures,
\nDealing in treacheries and lies.<\/p>\n

But her biggest mistake of all,
\nWas to attack God’s own Church,
\nIs it really any wonder then,
\nHe knocked her off her perch?<\/p>\n

And so Rome began to crumble,
\nHer glory slowly faded away,
\nWhile God’s Kingdom lives on,
\nIt is still with us here today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
