What could cause a great falling away,
\nI have one idea, please hear what I say.
\nA great disappointment could be sure,
\nIf you don’t see what you are hoping for.<\/p>\n
For many Christians it is Christ’s return,
\nIt is the big event for which many yearn.
\nBut what if the doctrine just isn’t sound,
\nAnd the Lord just never comes around?<\/p>\n
Even tho some waited for many years,
\nIn the end they’ll all be filled with tears.
\nWhy it failed to happen nobody knows,
\nBut years pass & disappointment grows.<\/p>\n
So with disappointment faith can be lost,
\nAs folks will no longer follow at any cost.
\nThus we see our faith taking a major hit,
\nAs many Christians say it is time to quit.<\/p>\n
A great falling away, can you see it now?
\nDo you understand the why & the how?
\nThe tragedy is that what I stated is true,
\nSo many Christians don’t have any clue.<\/p>\n
They place their faith in what will not be,
\nTheir eyes are closed & they cannot see.
\nDeceived by false doctrine they are blind,
\nFor futurism has fully clouded their mind.<\/p>\n
Although the Bible makes the truth plain,
\nThey believe a huge lie though it is in vain.
\nBelieving men’s doctrines is quite absurd,
