MORE THAN A BABE <\/p>\n

For when ye ought to be teachers,
\nAt one time the Apostle Paul said,
\nAlthough it’s rather disappointing,
\nLike babies we treat you instead.<\/p>\n

Dull of hearing Paul had told them,
\nThey weren’t ready for strong meat,
\nTheir spiritual growth was stunted,
\nSo Paul just gave them milk to eat.<\/p>\n

Today there are likewise Christians,
\nWho don’t seem to grow in the Lord,
\nThey are spoon-fed by their pastor,
\nNever learning how to use a sword.<\/p>\n

Now perhaps they believe in Jesus,
\nAnd that of course is good and well,
\nBut being saved is just a beginning,
\nAbout Jesus others we need to tell.<\/p>\n

If our own Salvation is all we’re after,
\nThen sadly we have missed the goal,
\nGod looks for diligent, hard workers,
\nWho want to witness and win a soul.<\/p>\n

Just sitting in a pew year after year,
\nIs not developing our faith all that far,
\nBut should we help win folks to Jesus,
\nThen we’ll shine like the brightest star.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
