OLD MAN MOSES <\/p>\n

Oh yes, that old man Moses,
\nWe have all heard his tale,
\nHow God gave him a mission,
\nHe thought that he would fail.<\/p>\n

When the Lord called to him,
\nFrom a bush that was on fire,
\nSore afraid Moses answered,
\nOh God, but I am not for hire!<\/p>\n

I don’t even know Your Name,
\nAnd I can hardly even speak,
\nSurely You are just mistaken,
\nAbout the one You really seek.<\/p>\n

Those Israelites won’t accept,
\nI am a messenger sent by God,
\nThey’ll think that I am crazy,
\nOr at least a rather bit odd.<\/p>\n

Yet despite his reservations,
\nMoses did as he’d been shown,
\nIt was obviously so pointless,
\nFor him to just moan and groan.<\/p>\n

So armed with a shepherd’s staff,
\nAnd some miracles up his sleeve,
\nDear Moses marched off to Egypt,
\nTo find out who would believe.<\/p>\n

As many Christians already know,
\nGod did wonders in that land,
\nAfter Pharaoh had been humbled,
\nThey were freed by His own hand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
