Old people, they say, are from another time,
\nThey’re useless has-beens, not worth a dime.
\nMerely a drain on Earth’s limited resources,
\nLike racetrack animals, retired old horses.<\/p>\n

Just push them aside, make room for the rest,
\nPretend they’re not there, hope for the best.
\nBut foolish are those who think in this way,
\nFor their elders have many wise things to say.<\/p>\n

A life full of lessons learned from the Lord,
\nWe’d be better off taking heed to their word.
\nSpecial treasures in our very midst are they,
\nFor His reasons, God has allowed them to stay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
