BAD FRUIT<\/p>\n

We have all heard of the story,
\nAbout old Satan and his pride,
\nNot so happy with his position,
\nBy God he chose not to abide.<\/p>\n

So cast out and down in Eden,
\nTo a woman called Eve he lied,
\nThen giving that fruit to Adam,
\nTo eat it he then too did decide.<\/p>\n

What a sad mistake they made,
\nWhich just could not be denied,
\nThus when God looked for them,
\nIndeed they both wanted to hide.<\/p>\n

Alas, what have you now done?
\nWhy didn’t you stay by my side?
\nNot wanting to take the blame,
\n\u201cIt was the woman!\u201d Adam cried.<\/p>\n

So God then cursed that serpent,
\nOn your belly you shall now glide,
\nBut as for foolish Adam and Eve,
\nGrowing old they eventually died.<\/p>\n

Our story doesn’t quite end there,
\nSin and death spread like a tide,
\nYet due to God’s love and mercy,
\nWe escape if in Jesus we confide.<\/p>\n

So listen well and don’t be foolish,
\nYou need to get off of Satan’s ride,
\nAccept God’s love & forgiveness,
\nSo to sin’s curse you won’t be tied.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
