Once there was a pole stuck in a hole,
\nOn the shores of the nearby sea,
\nIt was not amused but very confused,
\nNot quite sure what it should be.<\/p>\n

It wanted to boast that it was a post,
\nBut some folks just didn’t agree,
\nOne thing it knew that had to be true,
\nWas it came from some kind of tree.<\/p>\n

So now here stood this thing of wood,
\nAs the waves all lapped its side,
\nThe sand grew thin as water came in,
