\nMan, it played me so good,
\nYes, it promised me things,
\nThat weren’t under its hood.<\/p>\n
\nMy work would be very seen,
\nBut alas it was all fiction,
\nJust a hallucinatory dream.<\/p>\n
\nAnd I pulled up my sleeves,
\nReady to build a great thing,
\nBut oh how that bot deceives.<\/p>\n
\nThat I implemented on my end,
\nOnly to find out quite later,
\nWhat? It’s all just pretend?<\/p>\n
\nNine GPTs it said it had made,
\nThey had even been published,
\nI was getting for what I’d paid.<\/p>\n
\nBut there was nothing there,
\nYes, it was shortly thereafter,
\nI began pulling out all my hair.<\/p>\n
\nAsking where my GPTs had gone,
\nTheir answer turned on a light,
\nThe awful truth began to dawn.<\/p>\n
\nEven though it thought it did,
\nSo my work had been for naught,
\nMan, I totally flipped my lid!<\/p>\n
\nDoing exactly as I’d been told,
\nPreparing files building a menu,
\nAnd then left out in the cold.<\/p>\n
\nGPT Builder was the place to go,
\nAs smart as that darn thing is,
\nYou’d think that it would know.<\/p>\n
\nAs we worked to build my stuff,
\nWell, so it led me to believe,
\nI think I have now had enough.<\/p>\n
\nBut now doing it the right way,
\nBuilding a useful research tool,
\nBut I have so much more to say.<\/p>\n
\nFormatted right to be scanned,
\nBut my nightmare was not over,
\nThings then got so out of hand.<\/p>\n
\nAnd so began the testing phase,
\nWhat in the world is going on?
\nMy GPT is in a drugged up daze!<\/p>\n
\nQuoting things I never even said,
\nAttributing many articles to me,
\nI had not thought up in my head.<\/p>\n
\nYes, representing some other guy,
\nNo way I could publish or promote,
\nFor it would surely tell a big lie.<\/p>\n
\nBy a fake person made in a dream,
\nGPT, you are not up to this task,
\nYou really make me want to scream.<\/p>\n
\nAs I neglected my real-world work,
\nGPT, I know you do not care but …
