A very long time ago in Israel,
\nThere was a dude named Samson,
\nThe girls were so gaga over him,
\n‘Cause he was strong & handsome.<\/p>\n

Samson wed a woman of Timnath,
\nBut she was one deceptive lass,
\nThus, he later killed 1,000 men,
\nJust with the jawbone of an ass.<\/p>\n

After judging Israel for 20 years,
\nPoor Samson’s fate finally came,
\nA beauty in the Valley of Sorek,
\nDelilah was that cute gal’s name.<\/p>\n

So in love was he with that girl,
\nHe told the secret of his strength,
\nOh dear, what a terrible mistake,
\nThey cut his long locks at length.<\/p>\n

Weakened now & without the Lord,
\nThe Philistines took out his eyes,
\nBut as he ground in the prison house,
\nThe Lord heard poor Samson’s cries.<\/p>\n

Little by little his hair grew back,
\nAnd he became stronger day by day,
\nSo that when Dagon’s feast arrived,
\nThousands of Philistines he did slay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
