SLOW DECAY <\/p>\n

There was heard a great rumble,
\nIt reverberated across the land,
\nThe dissatisfaction was growing,
\nSoon it would be so out of hand.<\/p>\n

There were dark forces prodding,
\nSpreading much paranoia and fear,
\nWho would win the next election,
\nThe answer was not yet very clear.<\/p>\n

Big money boys were each pushing,
\nTheir pawns were now all in place,
\nJust waiting for the right moment,
\nWhen they’d try to make their case.<\/p>\n

The nation’s disunity was evident,
\nEach was on the left or the right,
\nNo one wanted to yield any ground,
\nConvinced they could win the fight.<\/p>\n

But while they were busy arguing,
\nThe proud nation crumbled within,
\nNow to me it seems quite possible,
\nIt’s God’s judgment due to our sin.<\/p>\n

For so many seem to have forgotten,
\nWhat had made this nation so great,
\nWe turned away from God’s precepts,
\nSo we must prepare to meet our fate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
