It is a tradition every evening at 6 PM,
\nFolks gather to watch the nightly news,
\nBut they don’t really wish to inform us,
\nTheir game is just to make us all snooze.<\/p>\n

It is the same no matter where you look,
\nAnd regardless of the channel you choose,
\nThere’s way too much fluff and negativity,
\nIt is really enough to give one the blues.<\/p>\n

If you are looking for even a little truth,
\nDon’t expect them to leave you any clues,
\nTheir main goal is to jack up the ratings,
\nAnd just increase their number of views.<\/p>\n

So please pardon if I decide to walk away,
\nI hope you understand and will excuse,
\nFor I’ve much more important things to do,
