They promise us a golden age,
\nWhere everything will be fair,
\nBut frankly, I\u2019ve got to wonder,
\nIs it from the prince of the air?<\/p>\n

So much peace and prosperity,
\nWe just won\u2019t believe our eyes,
\nBut as for me, I am skeptical,
\nIs it all one devilish pack of lies?<\/p>\n

We know many centuries ago,
\nPax Romana promised peace,
\nEnforcing their great strength,
\nSince then wars never cease.<\/p>\n

Will every person have enough?
\nIs it possible violence will end?
\nAnd will respect and decency,
\nTruly become an ongoing trend?<\/p>\n

They promise us a better world,
\nBut what will be the actual price?
\nI caution that we tread carefully,
