SPOOKY SPIRIT <\/p>\n

You can shake, rattle and roll,
\nYeah, you can grind and bump,
\nBut when the spirit fills me,
\nBoy, I really know how to jump.<\/p>\n

The spirit grabs me so strongly,
\nI’m rollin’ all over the floor,
\nBut some folks think I’m crazy,
\nSo they run right for the door.<\/p>\n

Then before long I am howlin’,
\nYeah, barkin’ just like a dog,
\nThe spirit takes control of me,
\nI’m hoppin’ just like some frog.<\/p>\n

The spiritual life is so fine,
\nI love it when I lose control,
\nStompin’ and yellin’ so loudly,
\nIt makes me feel really whole.<\/p>\n

I get to twitchin’ and shakin’,
\nStrange words are in my mouth,
\nPeople stare at me strangely,
\nAs if my mind has gone south.<\/p>\n

Friend, that isn’t God’s Spirit,
\nIt’s just a counterfeit at best,
\nYou need to rebuke those demons,
\nIt is time you gave it a rest.<\/p>\n

So much racket you are making,
\nHow can God even begin to talk,
\nYou need to stop and take time,
\nTo examine your spiritual walk.<\/p>\n

The true Spirit is often quiet,
\nIt has no need to make a show,
\nIt’s gentle, peaceful, humble,
\nYou just really need to know.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
