a poem and song by BBB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-50885\" src=\"https:\/\/www.billkochman.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/customer-for-life-optimized.png\" alt=\"CUSTOMER FOR LIFE \u2014 a poem and song by BBB\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.billkochman.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/customer-for-life-optimized.png 1080w, https:\/\/www.billkochman.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/customer-for-life-optimized-557x696.png 557w, https:\/\/www.billkochman.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/customer-for-life-optimized-768x960.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>#Poetry #Poem<\/p>\n<p>CUSTOMER FOR LIFE<\/p>\n<p>by Bill Kochman<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Bill's Bible Basics Poetry and Songs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billkochman.com\/Poetry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.billkochman.com\/Poetry<\/a><\/p>\n<p>02-25-2026<\/p>\n<p>I went to visit my local doctor,<br \/>\nBecause I was feeling kind of ill,<br \/>\nHe said \u201cNow don\u2019t worry friend,<br \/>\nBecause I have got just the pill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then peering into his computer,<br \/>\nHe studied my lab work chart,<br \/>\n\u201cYou should take this tablet also,<br \/>\nIt will clean up your fatty heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then listened to my chest,<br \/>\nAnd he noticed something off,<br \/>\n\u201cYou should take this pill daily,<br \/>\nIt\u2019s sure to alleviate your cough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gazing again at that screen,<br \/>\nI could see his consternation,<br \/>\n\u201cFriend, this isn\u2019t looking good,<br \/>\nSo also take this medication.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Turning again to my numbers,<br \/>\nHe said \u201cI don\u2019t like your LDL,<br \/>\nWe really ought to play it safe,<br \/>\nYou should take a statin as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But that doctor was not done,<br \/>\n\u201cOh, your A1C is looking high,<br \/>\nPerhaps now is a good time,<br \/>\nTo give daily insulin pills a try.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By now I was quite suspicious,<br \/>\nSomething just was not right.<br \/>\nWhy so many medications?<br \/>\nIt was just one sleepless night.<\/p>\n<p>And so before he spoke again,<br \/>\nI rushed towards the clinic door.<br \/>\nBut I had not yet paid the bill,<br \/>\nThus I was pinned to the floor.<\/p>\n<p>The doc then gave me a shot,<br \/>\nHe yelled I was out of control,<br \/>\nSuddenly I got so very sleepy,<br \/>\nAnd woke up in this hellhole.<\/p>\n<p>I am in a white straight jacket,<br \/>\nMy hands strapped to the bed,<br \/>\nMy brain seems so really fried,<br \/>\nWhat\u2019s attached to my head?<\/p>\n<p>Then that vile doctor arrived,<br \/>\n\u201cYou refused to play our game,<br \/>\nSo now you\u2019re mine here on out,<br \/>\nI\u2019ll make money just the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So think about modern doctors,<br \/>\nDo they want to make us whole?<br \/>\nIs making us a customer for life,<br \/>\nReally their only one true goal?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#Poetry #Poem CUSTOMER FOR LIFE by Bill Kochman https:\/\/www.billkochman.com\/Poetry 02-25-2026 I went to visit my local doctor, Because I was feeling kind of ill, He said \u201cNow don\u2019t worry friend, Because I have got just the pill.\u201d Then peering into &hellip;
