\nBut then he really only served himself,
\nYeah, that man took every opportunity,
\nJust to increase his personal wealth.<\/p>\n
\nWe have seen it so many times before,
\nIt seems that once they have won office,
\nThey forget what we put them there for.<\/p>\n
\nSo they will choose to vote a certain way,
\nYou know they did not become that rich,
\nJust by earning a politician\u2019s annual pay.<\/p>\n
\nThey\u2019re making illegal money on the side,
\nThey\u2019ll even resort to offshore accounts,
\nAs all their money they endeavor to hide.<\/p>\n
\nSo struggle to make ends meet each day,
\nYet their leaders all live high off the hog,
\nMan I\u2019m so irked I don\u2019t know what to say.<\/p>\n
\nNo doubt it\u2019s polarized through & through,
\nIt is no longer about helping their people,
\nDamaging the other party they want to do.<\/p>\n
\nSo no more shaking hands across the isle,
\nThey\u2019ve become so frozen in their positions,
\nAnd so passing bills takes a very long while.<\/p>\n
\nVery hungrily they search for their next meal,
\nIf the other party is promoting a good thing,
\nQuick! We need to work fast to kill their bill.<\/p>\n
\nNo relief appears to be anywhere in sight,
\nHigh prices & taxes consume our savings,
\nI wish someone would make things right.<\/p>\n
\nI possess no wealth or power or any fame,
\nYet I see through all their smoke & mirrors,
\nSo I refuse to play in their political game.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
