I met this atheist the other day,
\nBoy, did that guy know how to rant,
\nThere’s so much scientific evidence,
\nTo believe in your God I just can’t.<\/p>\n

The fossil record is so very clear,
\nThe Earth is billions of years old,
\nSo get your head out of the sand,
\nForget that stuff you’ve been told.<\/p>\n

That book you read is a fairy tale,
\nIts stories are allegories at best,
\nAs for me, I embrace modern math,
\nAnd all our theories pass the test.<\/p>\n

I don’t need some great God above,
\nThe Big Bang is really fine by me,
\nA cosmic explosion very long ago,
\nIs just how everything came to be.<\/p>\n

Now as for man and his modern state,
\nAnthropology surely holds the key,
\nMy ancestors were quite hairy guys,
\nThey would swing from tree to tree.<\/p>\n

Now by this time I had had enough,
\nThis fellow was sounding so absurd,
\nIt was clear his mind was made up,
\nHe had zero respect for God’s Word.<\/p>\n

With a smile I gave that man a tract,
\nIt explained how to be Heaven-bound,
\nBut he just muttered under his breath,
\nAnd cast God’s Truth to the ground.<\/p>\n

So blinded by the lies of the world,
\nThe real truth he was unable to see,
\nBut maybe the scales would fall off,
\nSo he’d come to the light eventually.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
