UNREAD AND DEAD <\/p>\n

For years it sat upon the mantel,
\nNot once opened and never read,
\nIts owner lived the high life,
\nChoosing earthly things instead.<\/p>\n

Yes, that man satisfied his body,
\nLots of women, drinking wine red,
\nHe had all the world could offer,
\nBut he was never spiritually fed.<\/p>\n

That holy Book called out to him,
\nHe just stared at it with dread,
\nSo hardening his heart against it,
\nNot letting God get into his head.<\/p>\n

But his days passed by so quickly,
\nAnd alas, he lay sick and old in bed,
\nStill refusing to accept dear Jesus,
\nSadly, that man was lost and dead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
