UNREQUITED LOVE <\/p>\n

Oh like a hot, terrible sword,
\nHer words pierced his very heart,
\nThe love he gave was unrequited,
\nHis whole world just fell apart.<\/p>\n

He longed for intimate connection,
\nBut, alas, there was simply none,
\nPain and sadness then engulfed him,
\nThere was no place for him to run.<\/p>\n

True love seemed ever so evasive,
\nA longed for goal not once achieved,
\nHe had so much love to give another,
\nYet why could it never be received?<\/p>\n

Was he really that so undeserving,
\nHad past sins marked him with an x,
\nDoomed to a sad life of solitude,
\nAn invisible cage leaving him vexed?<\/p>\n

Now he was growing old and so tired,
\nBut somehow he’d find the strength,
\nHe just refused to give up on love,
\nPerhaps he’d still find it at length.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
