The belief that God cannot look upon evil is apparently a false, modern doctrine which is not based upon the Scriptures. Consider what the Bible really has to say concerning this issue:<\/p>\n
“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” “For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.” “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” “And he did EVIL IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.” “And he wrought EVIL IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.” “But he did that which was EVIL IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;” “Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.” “For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” “Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.” “He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.” “. . . Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
