Wimkin Social Network: An Alternative to Facebook
Dear friends, in recent weeks I have joined three other social networks, bringing the total to twelve social networks where I participate to some degree. These three are MeWe, Parler and Wimkin. Of the three, I have found Wimkin most to my liking, and I have spent a lot of time there over the past two weeks since first setting up my account there.

Very similar to Facebook, Wimkin offers a timeline, page and group setup. And, you can set up multiple pages and groups, if you like. Just like Facebook, there are comments, likes, shares, video chat, video streaming and a few other features.

So, if you happen to be looking for an alternative online hangout to Facebook, due to the way in which Facebook has been discriminating against, clamping down on, and basically boxing in Christians and conservatives, so that very few people see our posts, or interact with us -- I have almost 5,000 FB friends, and barely a few dozen even interact with me -- then you may like Wimkin. As I said, I already have a timeline, page and group set up there. In fact, I use the same profile pic and cover image as I do on Facebook.

Let me warn you though that Wimkin tends to be a rough Wild Wild West type neighborhood compared to Facebook. In other words, it is NOT policed the way that Facebook is. They don't take down your posts, or force log you off, or make you repeatedly jump through security hoops, or force you to upload your personal ID multiple times, etc. Except for strong prohibitions against pornography, nudity and pedophilia, it is a totally uncensored social network.

Now, because it is so uncensored, bear in mind that some of the folks who post there post some pretty raunchy stuff, both in graphic form, and in their choice of words. Many are in fact Facebook renegades who have a major beef with Facebook. Many of Wimkin's users are also extreme U.S. patriots, Trump supporters, gun rights advocates, booze guzzlers, potty mouths, liberal haters and what not.

In short, if you are greatly offended by cuss words, offensive graphics, etc., then the place may not be for you. On the other hand, if you are thick-skinned, and looking for a new witnessing field, it may possibly be your cup of tea.

If you are still interested after reading the above, then please go to the URL below to sign up. It is very easy to do, and they do NOT require a cellphone number like some other sites do:

https://wimkin.com

After you sign up, you can either search for me using the name "Bill Kochman" in the search box that is located at the top of the page, or else just go to my timeline -- or what they call a profile page -- at the following URL:

https://wimkin.com/BillKochman

Once you get there, simply click or tap on the red "Add to Friends" button, and I will accept your friend request. Until you do that, you will NOT be able to see the contents of my page.

As soon as I see your friend request, I will approve it, and we will go from there.

To help out new users to Wimkin, I have created an album which currently contains a total of 22 graphics. These graphics explain in simple, clear steps how to perform basic functions on Wimkin. Once you join Wimkin and become my friend, you can access the album at this URL:

Oh, one other thing: There are both iOS and Android apps for Wimkin. Currently, the admin of Wimkin is waiting for Apple to approve the latest version of their Wimkin app. Personally, I mainly log on to the site in Firefox on my iMac. It is a lot easier, nicer and bigger.

Well, that's about it. I hope to see some of you joining me on Wimkin soon.
