Food Shortages and Prices: Up, Up and Away!
Dear friends, I have been hearing about the potential for food shortages for some time now, but this news article I just read really makes it plain with clear facts and figures, and explanations which are easy to understand for the average person. As the article states, the food situation is expected to get even worse in coming months as the Ukraine war continues, and as COVID-19 continues to affect the world to varying degrees. Some of us are already seeing the effects of it on our store shelves. Even President Biden admitted that more food shortages — along with other shortages — are to be expected while he was in Europe recently. That being the case, I advise all of my friends to consider stocking up on non-perishables, if you haven’t already done so. After all, it is better to be safe than sorry. Some of my longtime friends may recall that I did the same thing for Y2K twenty-three years ago. Maybe Y2K wasn’t quite as bad as they expected, but at least I was prepared for the worst.
