LIFE CHANGE

by Bill Kochman

It matters not how or where we’re born,
Nor the color of each of our skins,
It matters not if we’re rich or poor,
But how we live once our life begins.

We can choose to live so selfishly,
Ignoring those who may have it rough,
Or we can relieve their suffering,
Haven’t they already endured enough?

When everything else is swept aside,
It really comes down to just one thing,
God will judge us by how much we love,
And by how much joy to others we bring.

But by ourselves this is hard to do,
Because our heart is so evil within,
We need to be born of God’s Spirit,
When we ask the Lord Jesus to come in.

He will give us love and compassion,
Such as we have never known before,
So if you need a change in your life,
It is time for you to open the door.
