THE LAND OF NE’ER-DO-WELL

by Bill Kochman

10-08-2019

I dreamed I took a journey,
To a land very far away,
The people there were lazy,
Not a word they had to say.

They were also quite skinny,
Did they have nothing to eat?
“No” came the tragic answer,
They just sit there in their seat.

Tears then welled up in my eyes,
A Divine Voice I suddenly heard,
“They suffer from malnutrition,
Because they neglect my Word.”
